Dental Bridge in Temple, TX

The loss of a tooth does more than create a cosmetic dentistry problem. Missing teeth make chewing difficult and may also affect your ability to speak properly. It can also lead to a sunken appearance of the face, bone loss, and misalignment of surrounding teeth.

Expertly Crafted Dental Restorations

The best solution for you may be a dental bridge, referred to as a fixed bridge when it’s cemented into place. It is a dental restoration designed to “bridge” the gap left when a tooth is missing.

Having a dental bridge or any other restoration placed is an investment in both time and money, and we want you to be completely happy with the results. Dr. Richard Leung is an expert at creating durable dental restorations that not only improve your oral health but also feel great and look just like your natural teeth.

What Does a Fixed Bridge Do?

We have used fixed bridges for many years to restore function and eliminate the space left by a missing tooth. The bridge is stabilized by attaching it to adjacent teeth with dental crowns. Dr. Rich may also recommend placement of dental implants to provide further support for the bridge, depending on your needs.

Using a dental bridge serves multiple purposes:

  • Acts as a placeholder and prevents drifting of remaining teeth
  • Enables you to chew and speak normally
  • Restores and beautifies your smile

If you have to go to the dentist this is the place to go!

I have been coming here for a couple 3 year's and I have had quite a bit of work done. Let me just say this, if you have to go to the dentist this is the place to go! They have always made me feel comfortable and confident that I am in the right place. Kind and always concerned about my comfort, you can have a neck pillow and a blanket if you want it. Come in and give them a try, you won’t be sorry!

What’s Involved With Getting a New Bridge?

During the first appointment, Dr. Rich will prepare the teeth on either side of the empty space for dental crowns that will support the bridge. Next, we take impressions that are used to create a mold of your teeth, which are sent to our dental lab. The mold is used to create a custom-made bridge that fits your teeth perfectly. Before you leave our office, we will fit you with a temporary bridge to wear while your permanent bridge is being made.

Your second appointment takes place once the permanent bridge has been created. At this point, we will make any adjustments to ensure that the bridge fits properly. It is important that we take special care with this step to make sure that your dental bite lines up perfectly. The bridge is then secured in place with dental cement.
