Dental caries (cavities) is the number one chronic disease that affects children. Early childhood dental care is crucial if you want your little one to enjoy the benefits of problem-free smiles.

The good news is that, according to a study conducted by the ADA Health Policy Institute, more children than ever are receiving essential dental care. Children also set a record in 2015 for the fewest number of kids without dental benefits coverage. Only 10% of U.S. children didn't have any form of dental coverage that year, the lowest it's ever been.

The Importance of Prevention

Prevention is where healthy smiles start, and many insurance plans include preventive dental care for children. Dental exams and professional cleanings are two services that keep your children’s teeth healthy and help minimize the risk of problems that are more complicated and costly to fix.

In addition to routine exams and cleanings, we also offer fluoride applications and dental sealants. Fluoride protects and strengthens teeth, and sealants provide a layer of protection against cavities.

These appointments are also an excellent opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns with your dentist. They will be more than happy to show you proper brushing techniques for your child so you can get the most out of their at-home care.
